New York City's Vampire Weekend mixes preppy indie rock with joyful, Afro-pop-inspired melodies and rhythms. Ezra Koenig (lead singer and guitarist), Chris Baio (bassist), Rostam Batmanglij (producer and multi-instrumentalist), and Chris Tomson (drummer) formed the band early in 2006, when they were finishing up their studies at Columbia University. Taking their name from a movie Koenig made during his freshman year, the band started out by playing gigs at the university's literary societies and at parties. The buzz around Vampire Weekend grew during the summer of 2007 as the band embarked on their biggest tour yet, made several appearances at that year's CMJ Music Marathon, and signed with XL Records that fall.

Their self-titled first album was released in early 2008 debuting within the Top 20 of both the Billboard American and U.K. album charts. Their second album, Contra, was released this past January and debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. Their first single off that album, "Cousins," hit the Top 25 on the Billboard Rock Songs Chart.

Also scheduled to perform are dream pop and indie rock duo Beach House.  Hailing from Baltimore, the duo has released three albums since their inception and is known for their slow, atmospheric rhythms and haunting lyrics.

Formed by Malawian singer Esau Mwamwaya and British DJ duo Johan Karlberg and Etienne Tron, the Very Best is an electro-Afro-pop trio. Their spirited remixes of obscure/popular pop, dance, indie rock, and Afro-pop tunes, became hits through Pitchfork and Rolling Stone.
