Famed for her mystical chanteuse image, Nicks’ Fleetwood Mac and solo careers have collectively produced over twenty Top 50 hits, seven Grammy nominations including a Grammy for Album of the Year (Rumours) and an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
Nicks joined Fleetwood Mac with Lindsey Buckingham in 1974 who contributed to the group’s two most popular albums, Fleetwood Mac in 1975 and Rumours in 1977, which sold over 17 million albums and held the distinction of being the all-time best-selling album for years. Singles spawning from these albums included “Landslide,” “Rhiannon,” “Dreams,” “Don’t Stop,” “Go Your Own Way” and “Gold Dust Woman.” Nicks would rejoin Fleetwood Mac throughout her career releasing a total of 13 albums with the group.
Nicks’ solo career took off in 1981 with the release of Bella Donna with three Top 20 hits with “Edge of Seventeen (Just Like the White Winged Dove),” “Stop Draggin My Heart Around” and “Leather and Lace.” Nicks has gone on to record nine solo albums in her career producing other hit singles including “Stand Back,” “Talk to Me,” “I Can’t Wait,” “Rooms on Fire” and “Sometimes (It’s a Bitch).”
